all about Baguio

finally, Nagyaya din si Bernard ng vacation. that’s why when Ralph ask us to join them in a Palawan vacay, we excitedly said yes! but it didnt push through medyo ginahol na kami sa pagpa-plano =). So I suggested na lang ke Bernard na mag Baguio nalang kmi dahil February ang pinaka malamig na weather dun. After office we headed home to pack our things for the 11 pm victory bus to Baguio. When we arrived at Cubao terminal sabi ng Cashier eh fully booked na raw ung 12:15 mn de luxe bus and suggested kung payag kmi chance passenger. I immediately said no! and will just go ahead with the ordinary that leaves 11:00 pm.

At exact departure time the bus went off and also us to zzzz’s. Our first terminal stop is Tarlac, after that di nko makatulog ng diretso kasi ba naman ang seat number namin is 1-2, sa likod lang ng driver at sa lakas ng boses nila sa kwentuhan eh di ka makakatulog ng diretso.

In between Tarlac to Carmen Pangasinan, eh naka tatlong stop yata kmi. He constantly check kung maluwag yung gulong. When we arrived at La Union terminal the driver decided na mag transfer na kami to another bus dahil nga di sia sure kung ano problem.

Day 1- first day punk!

We arrived at 4:15 am.

On our way to session road, we passed by Barrio Fiesta resto, overlooking the baguio sunrise.

And few more steps is the baguio cathedral, sakto pala at first friday of the month ang dating namin so we attended the mass muna, a perfect timing =).

Image hosting by Photobucket

Next stop is burnham park.

FX taxi jumped off: Mines View

few steps away from Mines view is the Good Shepherd convent

after buying pasalubong at the convent, you can ride a jeep with signboard PLAZA and tell the driver to drop you at the Mansion House.

A few hingal steps, you can reached the Wright Park.

Day 2 – whole day lakwatsa

Our second day starts with this window view.

there’s a free breakfast at the hotel so malaking tipid na rin yun =) . pagkatapos namin mabusog nagmadali na kaming pumunta sa La trinidad. From our hotel sumakay lang ulit kami ng Jeep na sign board PLAZA (jeep terminal between session road and burnham park) then konting lakad sa RIZAL monument kasi nandun ung terminal ng La trinidad.

Image hosting by Photobucket Image hosting by Photobucket

We had lunch at Don Henrico’s sa Session road.

Super lamig talaga at di kami makatiis.

Day 3 – Uwian na..

by 1 pm uwian na….we arrived @ 5pm manila.

Happy Hearts Day

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” –
I CORINTHIANS 13:4-7 NIV

A Valentine’s Day Prayer

Lord,Because love is patient…Help me to be slow to judge, but quick to listen. Hesitant to criticize, but eager to encourage, remembering your endless patience with me.

Because love is kind… Help my words to be gentle and my actions to be thoughtful. Remind me to smile and to say “Please” and “Thank You” because those little things still mean so much.

Because love does not envy or boast, and it is not proud… Help me have a heart that is humble and sees the good in others. May I celebrate and appreciate all that I have and all that I am, as well as doing the same for those around me.

Because love is not rude or self-seeking… Help me to speak words that are easy on the ear and on the heart. When I’m tempted to get wrapped up in my own little world, remind me there’s a great big world out there full of needs and hurts.

Because love is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs… Help me to forgive others as you have forgiven me. When I want to hold onto a grudge, gently help me release it so I can reach out with a hand of love instead.

Because love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth…Help me stand up for what is right and good. May I defend the defenseless, and help the helpless. Show me how I can make a difference.

Because love always protects and always trusts… Help me to be a refuge for those around me. When the world outside is harsh and cold, may my heart be a place of acceptance and warmth.

Finally, because love always perseveres… Help my heart continually beat with love for You and others. Thank you for this day when we celebrate love, and for showing us what that word really means. Amen.

Yey! were off to baguio tonight via victory liner. Just in time for the Pinagbenga Festivities.

the best way to get to baguio is via the new “deluxe” buses of Victory Liner. 29-seater, wider seats with foot rests, reclines to “sleep” position, has clean airplane type toilet at the back..and a “stewardess” handing out drinks and snack! the trip stops once to refuel in tarlac. leaves manila 12:15 midnite, arrives in baguio at 4:30am! affordable at P500 considering you won’t be paying for the P203 toll fee at nlex. check out the trips cos it’s not yet regular, sometimes they cancel. reservations are recommended. bring a pillow and blanket, the trip is sooo relaxing you arrive really rested.

You can inquire at Cubao Terminal: 727-4534
